Ice

 by Sarah Beth Durst
I read the book Ice. It is a modern version of the Norwegian fairytale "East o' the Sun, West o' the Moon". I loved it. At first I was completely weirded out but I got into the flow of the book and it was amazing. A girl named Cassie has always been told by her grandmother that her mother was the daughter of the North Wind and the Polar Bear King had kidnapped her to bring her to him so one day Cassie's mother would be his bride. In that story things went wrong and her mother was blown away to the Troll Castle beyond the ends of the earth. And now on Cassie's 18th birthday all she knows will be questioned and she will decide between leaving hr mother or saving her at the price of being Polar Bear King's wife.

Zombies vs Unicorns

This is the full art under the black cover
This was one of the most disturbing books I have ever read. Don't get me wrong, it was a great book, just totally morbid. It is a collection of short stories about Zombies & (what else) Unicorns. It has a variety of writing styles and you can go through the book story by story. At the beginning of each story there is a "conversation by the heads of the teams:Holly Black (team unicorn) and Justine Larbalestier (team Zombie, my teeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmm), they are hilarious. At the end of the book you vote at zombiesvsunicorns.com for your favorite but read it first you might be swayed, I know I was.

Linger

I loved this book! I still don't think it compared with Shiver.  It ended on a cliff hanger so I am yearning to read the next book. It was very good but Grace's parents bugged me in this. I loved the new characters and how more people were telling the story. And now I want to make Paper cranes (read the book and you'll know why.) ^^

Incarceron

:) I read a book called Incarceron over vacation.  It  was about a jail made for criminals  that was supposed to be  the perfect paradise.  The jail itself (Incarceron) was made to enforce the law.  It soon adapted and had a mind of its own and this is the story of the dreams of a boy who believes he came form the outside world.  One some don’t even believe exist.I loved it and I'm reading the second one.

Princess of Glass

Princess of Glass is the squeal to one of my favorite books Princesses of the Midnight Ball. That book is a version of the Twelve Dancing Princesses. I liked this a lot more. The two books are by Jessica Day Gorge and I highly recommend both books. =) Princess Of Glass is the continued life of one of the 12 sisters' lives. It is about Princess Poppy and an exchange program that is going through the nation.  I enjoyed it because it is not a dull boring princessy book or one by the same old lines of all the other princess stories we read.

Shiver

I just finished the book SHIVER like 2 minutes ago. It was amazing full of clever details. Maggie Stievater had me hanging at the end of every page. Now I just want to pick up the next book.
